locusts and honey: a study into entomophagic vessels
“Now John himself wore clothing. made of camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and honey.”
Matthew 3:4
Locusts and Honey is a research project that explores the contemporary use of insects in modern gastronomy, drawing reference from René Redzepi and The Nordic Food Lab. The project explores the potential future of edible insects and features a dedicated fork and vessel designed to elevate the act of eating locusts and honey. This was written in 2024 for my final dissertation on BA(Hons) Product and Furniture Design
