3000: a magazine for the future

A collaborative magazine by six students across the UAL Design School. For this project I wrote over 22,000 words towards the articles and essays in the publication.

The world is at a turning point, if we don’t take serious action to reduce our emissions the world as we know it will come to a collapse. More frequent and intense drought, storms, heat waves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans. The top 20% of people use 80% of the worlds resources, our throw away culture is resulting in mass pollution to land and more increasingly oceans, and the meat-industry is constantly expanding to demands that cannot be met.

3000 is a deep delve into the actions people are taking today, the issues we have to face and ways in which we can change the future. Collaborated by 8 students at UAL - this publication takes you through the Habits we have to break, inspiring Objects that aim to make beneficial change and adapting Technology that is helping us to reach environmental goals.

Although a single publication will never save the world, hopefully you reading this can take inspiration from one of the many articles and come up with creative solutions that’ll one day force the much over-do change.
